Chicken Diva Art! $PRO$

We read a book about Chicken divas. We made our own Chicken Divas in art. I enjoyed tracing my chicken. I didn't enjoy colouring my whole chicken in pastel. Here is my work.

Me as a fruit and vegetable man.

Today we made a vegetable and fruit self portrait of ourself. We used our favourite fruit and vegetables to make the body parts. It was fun.  Here is my work.

Art term 4 2018

This term we have completed two pieces of art.

One was inspired by an artist named Kandinsky who used coloured circles in his work. We looked at the contrast between warm and cool colours and the black and white of the buildings.

Our second piece was using the Maori words we have learnt and using these to create a visual picture. The words become the shape of the picture.

Some things I did well was making my letters get close together and not that much white.

Some things I could improve on are the white spaces in the back ground and I also made spelling mistakes in my rainbow I will try not to do that again.

Self Portrait Art

We have been working on using different art techniques to draw our faces. We have used sketching
pencils to sketch our faces, making sure we made our facial features an accurate shape, size and
putting them in the correct places.

We learnt about Picasso’s style and made our own funky Picasso portraits.

Hot air balloon art

For art we created hot air balloons. We used pastel for the background.  We used dye and black PVA glue for the balloon. We weaved the basket. My favourite part was the doing the PVA glue.
